Our Elkhorn Pre-School and Pre-K programs are for children who are approximately 3 to 5 ½ years old. Both programs include fun and engaging activities to help the children advance their skills in math, art, science, reading, blocks, dramatic play, and sensory activities. These subjects are broken up into different learning centers to give the children a variety of topics to learn about and allows them to choose the center that interests them the most. At our Elkhorn childcare center, we also offer field trips in these programs to let the children have fun exploring new places!
Our Elkhorn Preschool children are approximately 3 to 4 ½ years old. The program is structured with 1 teacher for every 10 children to give them more of a classroom feel. The teachers provide activities in small and large groups to give the children different perspectives of playing in different sized groups. These activities include playing games, reading, conducting experiments, music time, and creating art projects. Every activity and project is aimed at preparing the children to enter our Pre-K programs.
Our Pre-K program is for children who are approximately 4 ½ to 5 ½ years old. The Pre-K teachers focus on prepping the children for Kindergarten with strategic activities and projects that help them reach important learning milestones. Our curriculum is developed by a retired elementary school teacher to ensure we are including effective lessons into our Elkhorn Preschool and Pre-K programs to prepare the children for Kindergarten. In this Pre-K program, each week is focused on a specific theme to help the children improve their academics and social skills and help them become more independent.
Our Preschool and Pre-K teachers at Sprouting Minds are dedicated to helping your little one become more independent and set them up for success when they go to school. Each and every child is given the attention and direction they need to learn and succeed at their own pace.
