Toddler Care in Elkhorn

Our Elkhorn toddler daycare program accommodates children who are approximately 18 months to 3 years old. The developmental skills of children in this age range varies, so we have split our toddler program into two separate classrooms to help each child reach their appropriate milestones. The teacher-to-child ratio is 1 teacher for every 6 children, and our Elkhorn early childhood programs help all children learn and develop at their own pace.

Toddler 1 Classroom

Our Toddler 1 Classroom cares for children who are 18 months to 2 ½ years old. The teachers specialize in activities that will help them advance with shapes, numbers, letters, and colors. Activities are centered around milestone development specific for this age group as well as helping them expand their vocabulary. Aside from learning, we know these toddlers need to run and play! This spacious Elkhorn toddler daycare room gives them plenty of space to run and play while our staff also makes time for stories, fun songs, and art projects. Developing social skills is also very important at this age, so our staff encourages them to learn how to share and take turns. Depending on your child’s readiness, we can also start potty training as well.

Toddler 2 Classroom

Children in the Elkhorn toddler daycare 2 Classroom are approximately 2 ½ to 3 years old. They participate in more hands-on activities that help them accelerate their learning and their vocabulary. The staff also helps them become more familiar with shapes, letters, numbers, and colors through fun activities and projects. They’ll have plenty of age-appropriate toys to play with and plenty of room to explore and play with the other children. To help teach the children about boundaries, we split playtime up into two groups so that they can stay focused on their particular group.

We know that toddlers learn at their own pace and need a lot of attention and direction to keep them on the path for success.
